Miminko umí prožít všechny emoce naplno. A právě to bývá pro rodiče náročné. Ne všechny pocity jsou totiž pozitivní. Jak se popasovat s tím, že má dítě “den blbec”, pláče, křičí a vzteká se? .. Takhle ne!
Už se to nedá snést
Když se miminko kření, usmívá nebo nahlas směje a řehtá na celé kolo, nemůžete být šťastnější. Takové emoce byste si nechali líbit každý den. Pro děti je ale jen chvilka. Neumí svoje pocity regulovat. Prožívají to, co je pro ně v danou chvíli důležité. A tak stačí málo a smích se promění v pláč. V usedavý pláč. A ten pak v hysterii a vztek. V tu chvíli už to začíná být zlé, protože tolik hluku, křiku, beznaděje a marných pokusů to utnout se jen těžko zvládá se ctí. Přemýšlíte, jak to co nejrychleji utnout. Proč? Abyste naladili pohodovou atmosféru, abyste nebyli ve stresu, aby miminko nebylo vyčerpané, rudé a nešťastné.
Právě klid a odstup je ale to jediné, co pomáhá. Těmto třem metodám se vyvarujte. Nadělají víc škody než užitku.
Křik versus křik
Miminko, které křičí, naruší dynamiku celého dne. Cítíte stres a vnitřní pnutí. Nejde ho za žádnou cenu utišit. Zatímco první půlhodinku zachováte klid a snažíte se vše vyřešit elegantně, pak už máte nervy na pochodu. Vyzkoušeli jste všechno - servírujte hračky, snažíte se rozptýlit, nabídnout jídlo, pohádku, spánek, lenošení na dece, přítomnost kocoura, hlazení na zádech, nabídli jsme procházku i chování na ruce. A nic nefunguje. Jen křik. A tak vám ujedou nervy a začnete taky křičet. Dítě vám nerozumí. Slyší jen ten křik. A ten váš křik nemá na rozdíl od toho jeho opodstatnění.
Vyhrožujete, dáváte ultimáta, jste zlí, pálíte mosty a zahazujte všechny ty dobré chvíle. Miminko z vás má strach, takhle vás nezná. Takhle vás nechce znát. Není schopné unést tu váhu emocí, které na něj valíte. A nechápe je. Neumí rozklíčovat, co po něm chcete. A tak křičí, protože se bojí. Původní důvod byl možná někde jinde, ale teď už se jen bojí a uklidnění situace je SKUTEČNĚ v nedohlednu. Možná máte pocit, že jste řekli vše, co vám leželo na srdci za ten děsivý a náročný den, ale nic jste nedokázali. Ulevili jste sobě. Toť vše!
Fyzický trest
Na jednu stranu by nikdo - dítě ani dospělý - neměl potlačovat emoce. Ty pozitivní ani negativní. U druhých jmenovaných je to ale ošemetné. Můžete se tedy vztekat, rozčilovat, plakat a být agresivní? Ne. A pokud ano, tak v jen velmi omezené míře, aby to nepřekročilo společensky únosnou mez. Miminko vůbec netuší, že dělá něco špatně. Že by nemělo .. .
A tak je fyzický trest úplně mimo. Nejen proto, že je bez efektu, že v dítěti vyvolá strach nebo ještě větší vztek, že v něm signalizuje násilí jako přijatelnou normu. I pouhé plácnutí je špatně.
Dostat na zadek není řešení. Tečka. To byly praktiky předešlých generací, dnes byste se měli snažit situaci vykomunikovat a najít shodu mezi sebou a miminkem. Láska, blízkost, pochopení. To je trojlístek toho, co funguje.
Ledová sprcha
Pokud dítě nepřestává plakat a křičet, je pochopitelné, že už nevíte kudy kam a cítíte se jako tygr uvězněný v kleci, který přechází z jednoho koutu do druhého a snaží se dostat ven. Ledová sprcha se zdá jako dobré řešení. Okamžité řešení. Konečné řešení. Ten šok přece dítě utlumí a dá mu jasně najevo, že překročilo jistou mez. Do jisté míry máte pravdu, ale ..
